Here we are on May, 03, 2023 – all packed up and ready to depart to Ukraine for 8 weeks with 180 kilograms of medical and non-lethal tactical supplies. Equipped with three 120-litre US Airforce deployment rucksacks, external frames and waist-belts that were generously donated by a contact in Alaska that I met in Lviv in early-March, 2022. We did have to source and purchase the shoulder straps for these units but they can continue to be utilized as donations once the supplies inside are delivered.

What was the financial damage on the excess baggage? Surprisingly… not a single cent, thanks to the generosity of Lufthansa in a without precedent, without prejudice, executive decision by the Team Leader.  Next stop – Warsaw.
